Basic
Concepts of Time Currents
I
believe that time has currents, like water or the wind. You can ride these time
currents, like a bird gliding on a breeze. This is the basic element of time
travel.
Transporting
to a New Location as well as a New Time
I also
believe that the time current will transport you not just to a new a time, but
to a new location as well. Just as the breeze carries you to a different place,
and existing at that place at a different time, so too the time current will
carry you to a different place, and at a different time.
Thus,
for example, you can enter the time current in London in 1950, and arrive in Montreal
in 1980. You can leave Ohio in 1998, and arrive in Budapest in 2045.
I believe that there are only a few entry and exit points for these time travel currents. This is very much like train stations which only stop at certain points. Or like a toll road which has limited on ramps and off ramps.
Thus I believe there are only a few physical locations (on the Earth, and in all of the Universe) which allow a person to enter or exit the time currents.
I also believe that there are limited times which you can enter the time travel currents. Even when you know the exact location, that location is not always available. The entry point (and as an exit point) is only available at certain times.
Think
of this as a train or a bus. There are specific locations for entry and exits.
There are also only specific times when the train or bus arrives. Thus, you
will have to both know the location and the time when the time travel current
arrives in order for you to enter.
Similarly,
if you are riding the current, you will only be allowed to exit at certain
locations, and at certain times.
Note that
the next scheduled “time” for entry/exit at a location could be months or years.
Different
Time Currents from Same Location to Different Places
Just as
different buses or trains, starting from the same location, will travel along
different paths, so too will the time travel currents. Thus, just because your
friend entered the time portal last week, this does not mean you will ride the
same time current when you enter this week. You might be riding a different
time current – even though you left from the same portal.
Thus,
depending on which time current you ride, you will travel along a different
path. You will have different exit options for date and location.
And
just like waiting for the right bus, you should wait for the right time current
if you really want to get where you want to go.
There are multiple time currents existing simultaneously. These time currents are flowing around through various regions of space at the same time.
Furthermore, at some points in physical space these time currents converge. It is a hub, like Grand Central Station. Enter the hub, and you can choose which time current to ride.
Once you choose which time current to ride, the time current will send you off in the direction you want to go.
