Art has
two purposes:
The first purpose is to express yourself. You
must express yourself fully, honestly, and openly – so that you can release
what is inside of you, to divulge what must be let out.
The second purpose is to share your art with
others – so that you can develop connections between souls, and to enrich the
lives of others when possible.
Corollary
Benefits of Creating Art:
There are also important corollary benefits
of creating and sharing your art.
Creating art for yourself actually allows
your soul to develop. Creating your art is a method for your soul to grow. Each time you create one item of art,
something that truly expresses your thoughts and feelings, your soul actually
grows. Your soul evolves and expands.
For this reason alone it is good to create
your art – and be truly honest with it – whenever you have the desire.
Corollary
Benefits of Sharing Art:
The benefit of sharing your art is of course
that you connect with other people. You connect on a deeper level - soul to
soul - reaching the depths in ways that is rarely possible in regular
interactions.
One person at a time, one soul at a time…your
art – through its honesty and authenticity – touches that person’s soul, and in
so doing, will enrich that person’s life.
Your art may indeed enrich the souls of many others
and help their souls expand and evolve - perhaps as much as the act of creating
the art has enriched and evolved your own soul.
The Magic
in the Creation and Sharing of Art:
This is the magic of art; these are the amazing
processes of art. Creating art for yourself helps you develop and expand your
own soul; and at the same time, sharing your art with others may help the souls
of your fellow men and women of the world.
